Im finaly taking the step to ovning a Vr4 so hopefully by the weekend i will be Wantavr4 no more.

With a aking price of 3200 i offered him 2700 so hopefully if he considers it I will be taking a trip up to Dublin During the week.

Anything i Should look out for in particular when inspecting the car?

There's the buyers guide on here - always worth a read & printing off.

Look for service history &/or signs of abuse - if the car's not been well looked after then you may be having for shell out big money later.

It's hard to tell from those 3 pics but the bonnet doesn't look right - it might just not be shut properly. Also looks like condensation in the O/S headlight but again it really hard to tell from the pics.

Are there any members near you that could have a look ???

The bonnet gap looks not quite right, but not enough that the bonnet is only on the latch. Might be though!

Coolant could be low, but if it was cold when the picture was taken, then the cold level may be hidden by the turbo pipe.

Otherwise, usual VR-4 stuff, like checking AYC works on a test drive, although having said that, I think it may not be an AYC car, and may have an LSD instead. Cambelt, etc.

Tommie is actually in Kildare, like myself.

Depending on when you want either could have a look with you, but neither are mechanics, but have been VR4 owners for a while.

Im clueless when it comes to mechanics but i will give you a pm and lec you know when im heading up, could colect you on the way if needed.It would be great if one of ye could give me a second opinion from an owners perspective, im a but of an impulse buyer.

Been to kildare a few times, mainly Japfest and just an excuse to go to Time.

When i first saw the photos i taught it might be crashed and was the first question i asked when i rang. and he assured me it was never crashed so i took it as the bonnet was open. Thanks for the advice.

before i could go to Dublin he rang me rejecting my offer of 2700 because he had someone interested in it and was holding on for 3000. He text me during the weekend telling me he sold it to some Hungarian for the same as what i offered. D1ckHead!! The worst thing is that the guy who bought it lives 10 minutes away from myself so i have to see it all the time. So Gay!!
