    'LEGNUM' badge picture request

I have been trawling through the member's car galleries and through my own photos of Japfest, but I cant find what I am after.

I am looking for a clear image of the 'LEGNUM' letters on the tailgate.
If someone could be kind enough to take a straight shot of theirs and post/email them to me, I would be very grateful. Actually a high res close-up shot of 'LEG' and another of 'NUM' would probably be best.

I did find the official Mitsy emblem parts list... (attached item I) ... but the bit I need is too small. I'm looking to use a clear image of the letters and trace a gif file so I can print out some vinyls. My car is debadged at the moment and I'm looking to replace them with reflective red vinyls.

Daz, they should be fine mate. If you are able to, then a dead straight-on shot might be better. I can orient the gif when I finish tracing them. If you could email me them that would be fantastic.

I'll PM you my email address...

Atik (or anyone taking pics!), I reckon the best shot would be someone using a zoom lens to zoom into the badging from as far away as possible, as this will make the lettering as straight as possible. Too close, and the lettering becomes more 'curved' on the picture.

I just noticed that on Daz's full picture. But its not too much of a problem as the graphical whizzkids can straighten them out. I just need something as close as possible to outline the shape only.

The end result could be quite cool... and I will take once completed. I may even get a couple of photoshopped images to see how they look.

    Watch this space...

If the image stays clear enough then that would be good. If not, a similar shot to what you posted before would be ideal. Maybe even 'LE', 'GN' and 'UM' if its not too much trouble?

It's close, but I've spotted the following:

    - the prongs on the E should be unequal in length and the ends should be angled
    - the curve on the U should be made up of two corners and a horizontal straight
    - the corners generally need radiusing

Sorry, I'm a perfectionist. Just a lazy one though...

Do you need the font file for what you are doing - there is one available called 'Galant'.

Have a look here for the font and all the indivdual letters and symbols that make up the Galant font.

    http://www.dafont.com/galant.font

    Hope it helps!
