"Ooki Power!" - A JapShow 2009 Special Sweepstake extravaganza!

As you may know, as well as the Leggie, I am taking the ickle 3-pot Suzuki Swift to Santa Pod with the express intention of taking it, as is, down the quarter-mile. I will not be removing seats or anything - I will just turn up, and drag it, with the exception of removing any luggage that comes down with it to the Show!

So, just for a bit of fun, I thought I'd run a sweepstake, where entry is free and the only prize is winning the respect of your fellow members, on my best quarter-mile time (ET only) for the Swift. Entry is open to all, wherever you are!

For those interested in serious calculations , then I'm sure you can obtain info from various sources , such as power, weight, etc. to make your guesstimates. Except that you don't know the driver's weight (i.e. all 13 stone of me!). Oh, you do now!! I might try a burn-out or two , but rest assured - I'll be going flat-out for the best time I can in however many runs I do in the end. More info on the car here, if you are really bothered!

The rules are simple - guess a time to the nearest 1,000th of a second (ALL those decimal places are important I tell you!), and no-one can have the same time - whoever posts the time first gets that time. In the unlikely event of a tie (i.e. one higher and one lower, but both the same difference away), then the time that is lower than the actual time will win, as a reward for your faith!

So, I'll kick things off with a 25.000s ET (which is my optimistic target ), and then update this page as the guesses come rolling in!
