Yep, its a pain in the backside to join up that pipe with a decent sized Intercooler.
Going to just swap for a pre-facelift pipe on my Galant.

How about a group fitting day/weekend? with beer inbetween if its a whole weekend?
Daz
Good job mate i would also be interested (especially if it comes with beer fueled fitting as daz suggested) maybe been an unemployed automotive engineer I should get off me bum and do something meaningful too, but the boss is keeping me busy painting the house.

Hmmm well i'm very happy with my intercooler
With regards to the bent pipes on the facelift, I guess i'd say people have three or four options.
1) Find a PFL hardpipe.
2) Cut the facelift hard pipe and keep the end (this could be rejoined if necessary with samco hose later or the old cooler is re-fitted
3) Cut the facelift hard pipe to the same shape as the PFL one and just find yourself a PFL flexi pipe if you ever wish to change back to standard.
4) Gowf could try to design an extra pipe section to replace the original down section, but this "could" result in an additional cost.
i suppose it just comes down to what options people are happy with.
Even so I still think its a great deal!

These were my original thoughts, but a hard pipe would be nice..... It could also then be used for the PFL as well if people wanted it, only downside of this (for me) is getting hold of a tig welder, but im thinking im needing one anyway!Originally Posted by orionn2o

Potentially interesed Gowf. I've a facelift model.
The Greddy Spec V intercooler costs a lot more than that on it's own. Nevermind with the customised piping to fit the Legnum.
Honey, I never drive faster than I can see, and besides... it's all in the reflexes

The crashbar needs about 1/2 - 1" section taken from either side, just at the corner of the core.
From what we have at the moment, the core seems pretty decent. I havent had chance to measure the actualy cooling capacity of it or indeed the associated pressure drop, but i feel it should be minimal(pressure drop that is).
Right, ive just updated the 1st post with a list of definates and maybe's wth the age of cars, due to this potential problem with the facelifts. If i'm wrong with what ive posted let me know, as ive had to make assumptions here and there
Nev, just had a look..... Do you have any pics of where your AT cooler is? Is it behind the bar that the bonnet catch is attached to? If so then it shouldnt be a problem to fit it
It's actually attached directly to the rad, like in this post: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showpos...4&postcount=46

Um, err, er, um, errr...
Well...
I was kinda mentioning it for those who had installed their ATF cooler there too... but I might just be a 'maybe' then.
Gareth, I have a face lift Legnum and Peter and I are breaking a manual PFL so I could fit the PFL intercooler and pipes to my FL and send you the FL pipes and or intercooler if you think that would help with designing the kits.
Cheers, Keith
I am a FL, proud n loud in pearlescent white...
The only one in my village...!

Dependent on when and what I decide on the future of the car then I'd be interested
Definitely interested, count me in... facelift Leggie -00, also count p&p fees to Finland. Any chance of getting those flexible pipes in black colorif those are included?
I'm going to paint intercooler to black anyway... sleeper you know...
