You are right about not finishing the front and rear off on the earlier models, they rectified that with the 98 facelift

I like the look of the GTb`s there another very under rated car. Look a little bit smoother than our VR4s but all I`ll say is the only bit of mine you would be seeing is the back
Car now sold, what shall I buy with my spondolies?
My god that is an ugly back, i wouldnt bother passing you as the front is a lot worseOriginally Posted by starky
One thing though, since owning my Leggy i get soo much grief off Impreza drivers its unbelievable. I mean it cant be a nice feeling being blown away by a nice big shiny estates so why do they keep trying. I've given up now, not as bad as Type R drivers though as they are simply Kamikaze
I know what you mean, three times this weeks there has been a young guy, i`d say 23ish in a Forester xt while on my way into work, first time he went into the out side lane on a round about and I was stuck behind a trunk and he flew off down the road I didn't bother giving chase, second time he looked across as he passed said something to his missues and they laughed not sure why though but the third time again on my way to work he pulled up same round about but with both lanes clear and I was ready for him and proceeded to hand him his arse on a plate...... the look on his face was pricelessOriginally Posted by shaidmahmood

Unfortunately, this equation doesn't work for our engine configuration.Originally Posted by shaidmahmood

It is hard to pull big numbers with a engine that peaks at 5500RPM and turbos that are running out of puff by then.
Of course there is the up side... My car posted 339 lb-ft at 3000RPM increasing slowly to a peak of 352 lb-ft at 4750.
The dyno operator actually came out to tell me how phenomenal he thought it was, delivering all its power at driving RPMs.
Not great for fuel consumption, but so drivable. That is why I have a VR-4.
That being said, I like Legacys. A B4 with a EZ30R turbo would be very tempting
This one for example looks nice

But obviously NOT in white. White is the colour that fridges and wedding dresses come in, not cars! That shape with the H6 3.0, Bilsteins, 6 speed manual and a pair of VF29 turbos would seriously rock.
Shaid, pay no attention to Brad, he is on a personal (and ultimately pointless) crusade against white cars or cars with an automatic transmission.
its weird aye...considering goats are whiteOriginally Posted by Ryan
just putting it out there, but id rather an AU falcon over a subaru....
Why? You'd rather have leaf springs over Bilsteins? Fords are just plain primitive.Originally Posted by Subaru ETA
Hey Ryan - you don't like changing spark plugs on a VR-4? Try changing them on a Subaru. Once you remove the piping, wiring, and the engine......
AU's dont have leaf springs unless you buy a wagon or ute.
plus subarus are pigs to work on, the VOD is gay and have you noticed the type of people who drive them in NZ?
Probably the same amount that drive Fords or Holdens. They may be pigs to work on but at least you won't be working on them as often.
lol you obviously are not a mechanic who has lots of mates who owned subarus!
I never claimed to be - don't have any friends that own Subarus... or Fords for that matter
you keep good company!
What is VOD ? tried searching but google just brings up Subaru Video on demand..
VOD is the valley of death where the second turbo begins to spool
Ahhhhh, yes, I have heard of this..Originally Posted by peter thomson
