White Smoke

Hi,

I have noticed over the last couple off weeks white smoke coming out of the exhaust , its not a start up, example today i was driving for about 15 mins pulled up to a roundabout and then a bid puff of white smoke came out , then it stopped and this happens every now and again ...any ideas please ????

Most likely Valve Stem Seals. If you do a search for those 3 words you'll see a few posts about them. How many miles has your car done?

someone told me it could be the turbos on the way out ?

turbos on the way out smoke under high load, sounds like valve stems. does it happen every time after a short period of idling like at traffic lights ?

it really varies , its not everyday, sometimes its when i stop an sometimes when i am driving

go down a hill and drive in a low gear for a while (creating lots of engine vacum). the nail the gas. if it blows smoke then it is valve stem seals
