Have fun Jane. I've never been either and would love to go, but it's quite a trip from here and certainly not a cheap weekend to stay over the night.
Malc goes every year I believe.
Enjoy

Yep, it certainly adds up if you need to stay overnight - we will be going very early on Sunday morning
I think you are right about Malc, it was some of the pics that he posted that made me really want to go ............
Not sure if we'll take the VR4 though - the thought of queuing to get in with those brakes squealing like banshees does not appeal

Not going this year Been the last 2 years all 3 days. Fantastic show. Lots of walking though. First from the car park then to the top of hill. Don't miss the rally stage in woods at the top Plenty of photo oppotunities.
Get there early (big queue's) and have fun !!

I would have loved to have gone for the three days but we left it too late to organise, so will have to cram as much as we can in on Sunday. I am sure we will be exhausted by the evening!!
Oh, can't wait now

My Dad goes with my brother - they always have a good time.
I'm sure you will too. Fingers crossed the weather is good to you.
Thank you - yes, hopefully the weather will be kindOriginally Posted by mrs elnevio

Great day out (except for getting up at 4-00am on Sunday morning) and more than lived up to our expectations.
Never seen so many F1 stars doing donuts and burn outs
King of the donuts has to be Timo Glock - he is one cool dude
And sad to say McLaren have lost their sense of fun, unlike Red Bull and Toyota.

That's why we camp locally when we go. Pleased you had a good day it really is a good show. A bit hard on the legs though
Age will do that to youOriginally Posted by MPBVr4

Unfortunately, we only decided to go last minute (got some tickets from a very nice man on PH posted to us on Friday night!) but if we go again - and I am sure we will - I would like to do the three days and camp locally. Do you stay at the Goodwood site Malc?
I have a few pics so now we are on BROADBAND at home I should be able to get some up tonight
Jx
We usually camp here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/de...asp?revid=1125.
OK as camp sites go. About 20 minutes from Goodwood via the back lanes which we have learnt. Also within walking distance of food and beer sorry...... wine. Mostly petrol heads here during the weekend and they open the cafe on site for a "full english" at 6.30am specially for Goodwooders.
That's worth knowing Malc, I might try and get something organised for next year.
Went friday, my 2nd time and was a fantastic day.. except for the VR4 breaking down in the car park on way home..
Well, we had a great day - I particularly enjoyed watching some of my driving 'heroes' go up the hill in some spectacular cars. Anyhow, here are some piccies ........
Audi had the main display outside the house this year
I can't get that excited about stationary cars but there were some that even got me interested .....
Ferrari 'Breadvan'
SLR Stirling Moss - which almost lost its wing mirror on a straw bale going up the hill later on
Didn't know what this was but I liked it all the same
Never seen one of these in the flesh before - it sounded amazing!
Chris Evans collection of seven Ferraris - including six that had been resprayed white for Children In Need and they went up the hill too
He paid over seven million Euro for this one last year
Moving cars to follow .......
Jenson in a fabulous old Merc ....
Followed by Stirling Moss, aged 79 and three quarters
My favourite F1 driver
Jackie Stewart ...
Lewis gets to drive a decent car at last
Timo having fun
Anyhow, I could go on forever but there are more HERE if you really are bored

Cool pics Jane ... have been to GW a couple of times years ago and it's a great day out ...
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition
Excellent pics HJM... !!!!!
Goodwood truly is a motorsports fans mecca and well worth the visit.
I believe the red car above is a Mantide Jane;

Based on a Corvette ZR1 and it's got fans that suck air from underneath apparently. Cool!
