Thumbs up fitting longer wheel stud ?

I need to fit longer wheel studs.
The fronts seem to be straight forward enough.

Has anyone on here tried tackling the rear ones ?

From what I can make out, the rear halfshaft will need to be pulled out of place by about 2 inchs to get the old studs out and the newer longer ones in.

I've tried the search function, honest.

have you tried to get them out? some cars you do have to take the shafts out, some you dont.

Dissasembe the handbrake shoes and knock a stud out - then you will see if you have to take the shaft out.

i havent done them on mitsi's but i have had to change a few.

EDIT: if you are fitting longer studs id say you would have to move the axle aout a bit to get the new ones in
