1999 Legnum AYC
Hi Guys. 1999 Legnum VR4 Series2 Do they all have the AYC feature if, not how do you tell the difference Thank you
Type S has AYC and there 3 green bar lights on the Dash also there is a red AYC light that shows when you start up. The Type V has an LSD and no AYC.

Fogus, all manual Legnums have AYC. There were some Auto's that didn't however. Malc's description is right, but there are a few other ways you can tell if you don't have a pic of the dash. If the car has little stick on wheel arches then it is a Type S, and for a 99 model if it is a Type V it will have a boring looking dash.
What Brad also neglects to mention, even though its an identical part and works exactly the same, the preface lift one is much better

As I am new to these cars and looking at a purchase soon. Could you expand little more. when did the preface lift model come in. 2 cars i am looking at, one full leather and wood grain interior the other cloth and is more basic both 1999models. both autos, dealer says 2nd car has AYC but I am not sure. Thank you
Ask the dealer to email you (or get them over the phone) the full chassis codes for both. Post them up and someone will be able to check the database and tell you what they were from factory.
