Welcome aboard, can you put up a photo of the wood dash console you're after.
Where in Ireland are you, there are quite a few of us between dublin and Kildare

Hi Kiteman,
Based & living in Limerick. The centre console is the one that seemed to come standard in the later models of the Galant. Will try & post one up tomorrow. Have emailed breakers in Ireland & the UK without success
id guess it wouldnt be too hard to get a wood grain dash - most people try to get rid of theres!
Irish Medic:
1) What colour is yours?
2) Can you e-mail me a photo of it?
3) Would you like to swap my wood stuff for your non-wood stuff?
In the interests of fairness, I'll happily pay the postage etc.

My car has only 50,000miles on it. Will email you one if you pm your email address. I would definitely be interested in swapping my non wood stuff for your wood stuff. I'd be more than willing to share/pay my own postages costs etc.
Got the option today to purchase a leather interior complete with door cards off a trader in the UK. He says to make an offer.
1) The donor car is a 1998 Galant so I'm assuming that since the floorpan didn't change throughout production that it will be a straight swap.
2) Does anyone know what a fair price would be.
3) Lastly what about courier charges to Ireland.
Thanks again for all the help
Be wary of the differences between the estate and the saloon, if yours is one, and the donor vehicle is the other.
The rear side bolsters are a different shape. The rear door cards have no speaker grilles in the saloon. There may also be a latching point difference for the rear seats. If the donor is a Galant VR-4 (i.e. saloon), then those rear seats are fixed only.

Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
Thanks Elnevio for the advice. Both my car & the donor car are saloons. Mine is a 2004 2.0 Petrol, the donor car is according to the trader a Galant VR-G, GDi 1998 (S reg) model. Any further advice much appreciatedOriginally Posted by elnevio
Really?! Wow! The number of VR-Gs in the UK is probably single digits!!
As it's a JDM car, the rear seat may also be fixed, like the VR-4. Worth asking the trader if that's the case.
If it is, modification is, I think, possible - either by changing the mounting points, or by juggling around the upholstery on the seat frames themselves, maybe?
Cheers mate
