    Thumbs down 6a12 misfiring

Hi, i'm having some trouble with my Galant 95' v6-24v

i have a problem, i changed engine in my Galant 95' the engine comes from a Galant 93' it comes on, but its miss firing runs fine on 3-4 cylinders.

    Check list:
Spark plugs/cables (the order of the cables are diffrent from the 95').
tried the combination from both 95' and 93' on 95 it dosnt run at all,
    93 on 3-4 cylinders.
earth connection (wires from the engine to the "bodywork")
    The little ignition "chip/sensor"

well i thougt about it, and meaby its the ECU, whit the eletrical ignition?

Hope theres a nice person out there that could help me

    The Hole story...

well to tell from the start, my cooler leaked so much that i couldnt drive in it, so i changed it, but i forgot to put the "clips(or what ever its named, i'm from denmark )" back on the top hose.
After af few days, there was suddenly smoke blowing out from the engine room, well that was all of the water in the cooling system, and i drove it hot, so i changed the engine, (acctully from my old car a galant 93') and it starts, but it has like 5 BHP or so cause it cant drive, it sounds like a harley and its miss firing on 1 or 2 of the cylinders, and blows smoke out the air filter.

If you have smoke coming out of the filter I think you still have a problem with the firing order and welcome to the club

Do you have 3 coil packs, one on each front cylinder with a lead running to the rear for each cylinder? If so, assuming the 6a12 in your car has a similar setup to an 8G VR-4 like what I have, does it get any better or worse if you simply disconnect one of the rear cylinders? If it doesn't change at all then obviously that cylinder isn't firing. Doing it one by one will at least help you diagnose the problem?

Are the coilpacks from the other engine interchangable and have you done a compression check
