    GDI Timing Belt Change

Am I correct in thinking it should be changed every 60,000 miles/6 years for a 2.4 GDI Galant?

That'd be about right. The same as the NA v6 and the TT v6.

Yes, change every 50 - 60k miles. If it's second change (i.e. 120k miles on clock) I'd recommend to change tensioner as well, along water pump.

Thanks. I think it's 54,000 miles - as Kiernan advised.

My initial thinking was based on the Volvo 1.8 GDI being 60,000 miles and the Leasing Company who first owned my GDI had it done at 60,000 miles also.

However, on closer look at their maintenance schedule, I noticed that the 54,000 mile service was done at the same time - but actually 6000 miles late.

The 2nd change was done at 100,000 miles, but n water pump etc.

Should be ok till next change, but now it's rather thing "Have to be done" along next cambelt service.

True - unless I have a Legnum before then.
