Clock intermittent - how do I get to it

Anyone have a theory why the clock on my legnum only comes on when it feels like it ? Probably the SVA company pulling the wires out when they converted the speedo... but was wondering if this is a common fault before I attempt to get inside the dash.

Looks like the panel above the clock comes off somehow - might be able to get at it that way. Anyone had the clock out?
