Another three kits are going in the post today. That takes the total number of kits round the world to over 30. Anyone with feedback on both the kit and the clutches, please post up!
Thanks!
Mines still going OK!
Have done a couple hard take offs now working alright still. You can definitely tell the evo flywheel is lighter though in terms of stalling on take off.
I've done around 4k miles since mine was installed - still going strong with Exedy Stage 1 Clutch and EVO lightened flywheel
why fix it the right way first time - when excessive swearing can occour when it all goes wrong when you don't?
Now with 5.7 liters of V8 muscle
I could be in need for one of these soon... I have experienced some slippage since boost controller has been switched on (just for old times sake) mind you the colder dense air has turned the car into animal...
Do you have any kits in stock still Nick?
Cheers
Nope, but I can have within a couple of days, especially for you, D!
Thats 2 then How do you want payment? Hoping to get upto yours w/e 23rd Oct to pic up those bitz and also some stuff for Tomasz. Could collect and pay on the day
You saw my adaptor plate last week, it looked as good as it did when it went in 2 years ago!

Yes I can.
The clutch couldn't hold the torque it seems, although "rated to 400HP" without specifying the torque figure, I believe it was aimed at Evo FQ320s with a mild tune (so their 305 Ft/Lbs of stock torque would be in the 330-340), however as EvoScan is estimating my VR-4 is producing 390 Ft/Lbs (taken with a pinch of salt), I'm not surprised it started to slip.
That plus a couple of launches later, the bite point is pretty much at the top of the pedal and the clutch is about done.
No complaints about the flywheel though, engine seems balanced (no shaking on rev).
Next I think I'm probably gonna go for either Carbonetic or Competition Clutch.

Yes bud, they are. And pm replied to.
Installed this kit along with Competitioncluth stage-2 and lightened flywheel. Has worked like a charm since I installed it a year ago Thanks Nick
Have also recommended this kit for other members of mitsubishiclubfinland
Did anyone else fit an Exedy 7420HD?
Mine shudders/judders noticably on take up and I had the same issue with the last (completely dodgy) clutch kit I'm wondering if there's something funky with my car hrm :/ or just expected from a heavier kit.
Did not have that issue with my original stock clutch.
Stage 3 on puck style clutches are well known for judder. It's a trade off as far as I can tell - driveability vs torque rating.
Yeah this isn't puck though it's full face.
Oh, really? That does seem a little extreme then. Hopefully someone else with the same clutch can comment.
