    Factory Fitted Amp?

Iv been away for a long time (damn swine flu got me) but im back now and all is well.

I got a question, basic one for you guys; do the imported vr4's come with a factory fitted amp in the boot? I ask because my brother in law picked up a vr4 the other day, which I have not checked out yet, but he was taking about the sound system not working and he's noticed some plug connectors in the boot that are not connected to anything and its near the cd changer.

    Cheers

Could be something to do with the MMCS. Some did have a sub in the boot. Mounted on the parcel shelf in a saloon or behind the drivers side rear wheel arch in an estate. Not sure where the associated amp was though.

Yep I believe you lift the small floor panel on the left to get to it.

I was impressed with the thump from the factory amp and sub. Nice retro head unit too

Yep hes found the panel on the floor and theres nothing in there.. I guess the amp has been removed. So has anyone got for grabs?

Otherwise whats the best thing to do about it? I guess I might just rewire the speakers to a standard head unit for him.. unless someone has a different suggestion.

Shame your all the way over there.
I have just run some cables down the side for the speakers, and for about 8 months I ran a low power 2 channel Fusion amp off the factory cables and powered a sub that way if he dosnt want to fork out for running the proper cables just yet
