Taupo Megameet

Hey all,

When we had our meet in Palmerston North, we were discussing the possibility of a full club meet in Taupo.

Was thinking of a October/November timeline and make it a weekend affair.

Possible timetable:

People arrive on the sat morning and we do a cruise to Rotorua for the luge etc,

Dinner on the sat nite.

Sunday morning, early afternoon a run around the lake for photos etc?

Thoughts?

I know some of the welly crew may make it a friday to monday affair, which may work for everyone.

LOL, and I even renewed my Club VR-4 membership!

Been buried down with work and family stuff for the last two years, but I managed to fend off all the arguments to sell the VR-4... somehow!

Based on "It will be good for the baby, tinted windows to keep the sun off their face, wagon for the dogs, AYC and ABS for saftey!!
Then I started the legnum and rolled her out of the garage for the first time in ages, and Suzy rememebered just how much of a "boy racer" car it is, I could see her thinking "no way are you spending our money fixing this piece of junk".

Hopefully she would of recovered from the shock of all the repair bills by the time the Taupo weekend trip rolls around.

I can see me justifing it at as "Come on honey, we get to see your brother and father in Rotorua, that will be nice"

Count me in, getting time off in my new job ought to be easy. Will have to save up for gas. Will have the car back and all maintenanced up by then. Sounds MEAN!! Hahahah ^_^

Don't make it the last weekend in November - round Taupo cycle is on that weekend, and accommodation will be a nightmare - plus about 12,000 cyclists on the roads!

Could think about booking out a backpackers for the night?
