    The bunker and the festival

Anyone fancy getting their hands dirty tomorrow at P VX bunker ?? I will be there, & I think Kieran may put a late appearance in ?
Their is also a festival of motoring on, in Graves park, [just across the road ]
plenty of sports/classic/vintage cars on display, & a few trade stands !! not the biggest show you'll ever see, but well worth a visit. :-b
and the weather is set fair !!

Another productive day at the bunker!

First off we went to the show 'across the road' to do some research. We particularly liked the rear wings and scoops of the following cars.......but what are they? Answers on a postcard!

Then by 3 it was back to the bunker for some hard graft! With a couple of engines available soon we though we better continue stripping the car ready to accept them. So out came the rear subframe and all the rear suspension along with the fuel tank.

We did have a dilema with the tank as it turned out to have nearly six gallons in it! After persuading Kieran that we didn't ought to pour it down the drain (not because I am an environmentalist, but more because I didn't want Derek to throw his fag end down the drain with devastating consequences! Anway we found a container and began the painful process of pouring it in. We all mucked in, including Alex, and slowly poured 5 gallons of fuel in to a plastic tub. The other gallon ended up on the floor and Alex did a fine job clearing up after us toerags!

Note the tank in the boot and the rear subframe sitting on the floor. The car is now ready to have its rear floor removed ready for engine and box trial fitting.

    Watch this space!

Yes, I think i'm just coming off of the petrol fume induced high! Gawd, I felt as sick as a dog on the way home!! Yuck! Nasty job...

Anyway, as Derek said, we visited a cer show nearby, and found a few cars that the VX could probably mangle in it's CURRENT state! Here's the main contender - See how Derek and Dave are checking out the stats of this mean machine!!! :-D
