Still here somewhere........
Great news your partners are coming Mike/Brendan - will be great to meet them
After a couple of emails I have finally got a response to the internet situation in the cabins. The reply was as follows:
"Your Welcome Mr. Honey,
we have in every Cottage the option to use the wireless internet. The internet is charged with 3 € for 1 hour or 9,95 € for 24 hours or for one week for 39 €.
But there are no computers in the houses, so you need to pick up our own one or you use the chargeless computerstations in our Parkbistro.
I hope this information is helpfully for you, otherwise please do not hessitate to contact us again.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen/ with kind regards"
Good news for me as I still like to keep tabs on work stuff when I am away.
I assume that is charged on a per PC basis not a per cabin basis?Originally Posted by Spirit
And ditto ... it's great news about Mike and Brendan's other halves coming along ...
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition
No idea mate, but hopefully it's just a code or something so we can all use it and split the cost.Originally Posted by White Lightning
Over here the Wi-Fi will be MAC based I'm afraid. You'll most likely find it's not provided by the cabin owners but someone like Stoltz as an ISP. The prices match their package levels.
If you've all got Wi-Fi my recommendation would be to get one package and set-up and ad-hoc network or take a wireless router with you and just use the LAN side of it.

Blimey, is it only 5 weeks !!
Who is actually going?
I have spoken to a few on the 'attendees' list, who are not going.
Update needed me thinks!
Update: I wont be making this one unfortunately
1997 Mitsubishi RVR HSGR : 2.0 4G63T, 4 seats and the seating position from a truck
2009 Ford Mondeo : 2.2TDCi, 4 wheels, some plastics, some metal and some seats
Former owner of The Mongrel (RIP 2011) and The Rednum (RIP 2014)
sorry to here this atik.....
I am 'planning' on a September trip already though
With some warmer temps this week, the snow has nearly gone
That surprises me to see the snow, bearing in mind how far away we are there's been nothing here for over a week and the temps are in double figures. My VR-4 has been having a considerable test session for the last few days to make up for the last two months!
The Eifel is quite a bit higher than MG though...
Is anyone making an updated list of who's actually going
I have just re read this thread in its entirety, at one point it looked like we would have 14 cars going!!Originally Posted by kiteman
So where are all those who said they are in?
Anyways, another change of plan for me, it doesnt look like Anna will make it, her work contracts are changing hands and she needs to be there the Thursday and the Tuesday for data transfer
Mike
Sorry to hear that Mike,Originally Posted by miller
