That's a good point about Japfest, Nick. We should (if we can) try and keep the two at least a couple of weeks apart I reckon.

Has anyone else noticed that the Ring is open all day, Christmas day ... beats listening to the Queens speech!

Drive out Xmas Eve, few laps Xmas morning, Motorsport for Xmas lunch (if it's open), few more laps, then drive home Boxing Day .... sounds good to me

well i have just found a 3 bedroom villa for rent over xmas for £700 (5 days ) , now to sugest a few days away at xmas

And to be honest thats where I may stay next Easter onwards , about twice the price of a hotel room but lots of space etc

We rented an apartment at Herschbroich (just up from Adenau) for a week Xmas 2007.

Cheaper than renting a cottage for the week in Blighty, even with the travel !

Had a great time, but the Ring never opened as it was too icy - day time temperature never really got over 0 C.

If you are only going to go for the Ring and nothing else, its a big gamble that time of the year ???

John those prices are per room for the stay... If you book two rooms, you pay 2 x £700 etc.

Sounds interesting to me. It's only 500kms away...

So, do you have a hotel reservation already? Considering to come and visit you guys on Friday and stay till Saturday evening...

Maybe I am lucky and someone has a Co-Pilot seat in a VR-4 for me as I don't think I will go round the ring with my ST-R...

Why not ..??

It doesn't matter what car you drive you can still have fun on the Ring. If my VR-4 couldn't make it I would still take Kate's Ford Ka and have a go with that ...!!!

We're planning on taking our Delica round the ring, I was putting it through it's paces today on the back road to work

We were going otbe home for Xmas but I may just go down there just so I can say I did it on Xmas day.
