    Fitted Tein S Tech Springs.

    Well chuffed with myself.

I fitted a set of Tein springs today first time I'v ever done that.

The first one took me about 4 hours . A few phone calls to PT for a few pointers. Cheers mate a great help as usual. Once I got the hang of it, it took me about half an hour a corner.

I impressed with the springs so far. Have'nt been for a long run yet but drove it to Mac D & it firmer so less roll.

I'll take her for a descent run tomorrow

Heres a couple of pics of before & after

You'll probably find it looks even lower tomorrow!

Thanks for your help Peter. Did'nt know who else to phone.

No before & after shots yet Anthony. I'm waiting for it all to settle down. As Andy said it will probably look lower tomorrow.

It does feel lower but I dont think it will look much low as it only 25mm but it is stiffer. Looking forward to the trackday at Crail next month now to see how she handles.

A chuck about on the B roads tomorrow will have to do for now though.

I did but with the first spring I had them to far apart.

When I tried to take them off the old spring to put them on the new one I never had enough thread to take them off so had to put it all together again to adjust them.

Got it on the third attempt & as I said it was plain sailing after that.

Good stuff ... I had to use some when I changed the shocks and springs on the Ka not so long ago. I know you have to compress the springs a lot on the VR-4 suspension so it's not the easiest job in the world.

    Looking forward to the photos

    Will post some up tomorrow.

The back ones dont need compressing as much but you have to remember to line up the top bolts with the bottom so it fits back on or you'll have to compress them again to adjust.

Not sure of the part number I got them from Camskill.

It says there for a Legnum so not sure if they'll fit the Galant.

As promised here are some pics of before & after.

Have to apologise the before pic is an old one as I forgot to take one yesterday.

You can notice that the front is lower from the two pics but its not so clear on the back. Its only 25mm at the front & 28mm at the back but it does make a big diffrence.

And a pic of the new engine cover I fitted today

    Its getting there Peter.

Next on the list is the zorst from cat back. Going to get a price next week cause the center section is looking bad.

After looking at bradc's stage list I'll be up to stage 3 after nearly a year of ownership.

The question is will I get to stage 6 this time next year?

    Watch this space.
