I've just picked up a Draper one for about £25. Will be using it at the weekend, maybe! So I can report back if required.

Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
Most will fit. If possible, get one with a long plug adapter. Mine has a coupling on it which ends up in the spark plug recess by the time it is screwed home. That can mean awkwardness getting it unscrewed as the upper part rotates but the lower part doesn't!
screw fix do a cheapish compression tester.
and has multiple adaptors to fit all spark plug bores, which may be a bad point as well as good, the last thing you want is to leave an adaptor in the plug bore when you unscrew the tester. make sure the adaptor is rock tight before fitting tester.
also make sure you have another car on hand to jump start yours once you have been cranking over to do the compression testing as it takes a lot of juice out of the battery.
oh one other thing, just disconnect the crank and cam sensor to stop the car stating.
Bye for Now!
Indeed - as Nick says...
Thanks guys ... I see what you're saying Nick. Anyone know what size thread our spark plugs are?
14mm diameter
Yep- thats a good bit of advice!Originally Posted by Nick Mann
You can get one from snap on, but it isnt cheap, or if you bring your car here wayne you can do it yourself and borrow ours.
I would strongly advise not using the ones with a wiggly pipe without the adaptor that nick mentions. I got one of these wiggly boys stuck in a head once because the wiggly pipe union just rotated on the end of the pipe and wouldnt grip the plug hole fitting. I did manage to get it out eventually without stripping the car down- but it took me ages! I was about 90 secs from going for head off!
Cheers,
Ben.
Thanks guys ... I am planning to go for this one as there seem to be more accessories easily available for the Gunson one. It's £33 inc. delivery and comes with a long reach 14mm adapter
