How much difference is there between the 4g64 2wd and 4wd? I can compare various parts in ASA for you and see what the difference is with the 6a13's
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason

the bottom Crank covers differ from a long oil pan to a aluminium cover with a small vr4 type oil pan instead..

Ahh but that should still mean that a 4wd engine will fit into a 2wd car, just not the other way around.

Edit - on an EA5W or EC5W non turbo the oil pan and that big plate just above it are all the same.

Q - according to caps, the parts in pink are the same for both the 2wd and 4wd n/a v6 2.5. Unless of course you are talking about another part?

Johny - I don't know. It will either bolt straight up or simply be impossible!

I've just had a look at the 2.4 and the 4wd one has a similar design to the 6A13, ie it has two pieces to it. The 2.4 2wd is completely different.

A 4G63 GLS engine will last for 500,000km easy if it has been treated well.

Strangely the ea4w's and ec4w's are more like the 2.4 gdi's with the 2wd model having a big single piece.
