3 turbos... just a thought.

Been trawling the net and various forums but cannot seem to find much info on this. What about leaving the standard turbos where they are and fitting a 3rd larger one where the the downpipes meet? A suitable control system would be needed but is there any reason why this wouldn't work? I must have missed something obvious...

i remeber seeing a car project with turbos fitted at the end of the exhaust pipes and yes they were big as space was not an issue. i think it was a bmw and it was posted on here somewhere.

It's doable, though you're looking at a lot of cooling, intercooling etc etc

It'd have to be a big turbo to flow enough to make it worth it.
