    Attempted break in

    Hi guys,

I woke up on Saturday morn to find my drivers car door bent back from an attempted break in. Absolutely gutted.

I have an 8G Vr4. i dont want to post pics, too disheartening (!) The scumbags must've used a crow bar or something and have bent the door frame back about 2/3 inches. Nothing else on the car was touched. They didn't smash the glass and it doesn't look like they were inside.

My questions are this. Does anyone know if the door could simply be bent back? If i needed a new door completely, where would be a good place to contact?

    Any advice would be great

    Thanks guys.

You can start by outlining what colour your car is, chances are there's someone breaking it in your colour right here on the forums.

Sorry to hear about the attempted break-in though, at least they didn't succeed

sorry but you would be better off getting a new door, once its bent it is weakened and just makes it easier next time, where it is bent will no doubt have cracked the paint and possibly the steel and its hard to get it to look right, doors are pretty cheap and easy to find , probably in the right colour as well.
Its a right arse , I've had this happen and it seems to be the preferred way.

Have asked carlos-1975 to get in contact with you, I think he may have a door in your colour.

    what sods!
if you put your window down put your knee in the bend and pull the top it will come back but as has been said it will never bee the same , i found on the motorway wind got in through the seal and whistled. just a temp fix to keep rain out while you get a new door.

After seeing how easy it was to get into mine after a lockout, you're lucky they didn't get in!
