    Timing Belt Session

Anyone feel like giving me a hand doing my timing belt etc this weekend? I'm going to start stripping it all down tonight and hope to get it finished saturday.

As for the rain.. I'm going to stop in at the Warehouse on my way home and get one of those cheap gazebos, if they're cheap enough.

Can't help directly but CANDEE should have bulk photos from when we recently did the cambelt on VR4 MAD's car. An in depth cambelt, waterpump, camshaft seals and crank seal article was to come from this but must still be a work in progress. Maybe they could be uploaded here or sent through to aid in the job.

    Cheers

Are dog clips sufficient? I.e. they hold the belt against the cam sprocket, stopping it from turning.

locking tool would be better - then it holds the pully in place when you take the belt off. some dumb ass thought that it would be a good idea to have the timing mark on that pully right where the cam wants to natrually want to turn, instead of having it where most the lobes are eaither at the high or low point they have it just after the high point so it just wants to keep turning

I'll stop in at BNT on the way home then, if they're still open. What exactly are they called?
