Thumbs up Got my new car 2day :) not a vr4 but a jag lol

Ive been looking around now for a few weeks to find another vr4 but to no avail, I just couldn't find one that stood out like mine did so for the time being i have got myself an X-Type 2.5 sport which i had delivered tonight. Got a new black sports mesh grill coming so it'll stand out a bit more

And ive got myself another years subscription to this wonderful site

    Happy days!!

why fix it the right way first time - when excessive swearing can occour when it all goes wrong when you don't?

Join the clan, Chris! I looked at the 2.5 as well, but the £400 RFL put me off, so I plumped for the 2.0D. Ecomomics ruled the roost, but its still sporty enough.

And that's no bad thing IMHO. The Mondeo platform and technology is well proven and everyone knows how to fix it, and you get a nicer shape and more pleasant interior over the top. Can't see what's wrong with that.

Thats what everyone thinks, but when you get to the nitty gritty there's absolutley f**k all in common 'cept maybe the engine block and internals.
My EMS light came on last week. Found there was a problem with the MAF sensor. Luckily it was a wiring problem as even these are different between Mondeo, Transit and Jag, yet they are the "same" engine.

To add it will have a Jag clutch and flywheel. Its a decemt motor that will last for a long time if looked after.

Luckily mate mine dont cost that stupid £400 as its a 51 plate I must admit these cars are so smooth/refined but hmmm its sort of lacking Oomph lol i think the 0-60 times are about 7.7 secs and to be honest it feels more like 9 seconds. but never the less im happy with the car for the time being (ish) and if i sell i will prob go for a 3L sport

Yours is looking nice btw, we had a diesel jag estate in work and they sure drive nice

One of my customers has both an X Type, a very nice 3.0 estate and his wife's car is a Mondeo, I think the irony is lost on him
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason
