Nice car, if I didn't already have an 03 plate black elegance saloon (without the rear spoiler) I would go for that!

Apologies as I did say i was to email you.
However the car is also on ebay, with tel no.
Yes it is a bit more on ebay, only because i expect nothing more than silly offers and yes i have had a few of them.
Give me a call if you wish to discuss, I am sure I can agree adeal for someone who is genuinely interested.

It seems that everybody already has one, and here's me thinking they were pretty rare.

Yeah, the V6-24 was quite a popular model in the Galant lineup, particularly the later models like yours which benefited from discounting and upgrades (such as the VR-4 bumpers/skirts, Momo wheel, leather, etc). Sure - against Vectra/Mondeo volumes, the Galant's sales figures are barely a blip on the radar. But that just means that they're a canny used buy - And the people that really want one know what they are and will pay accordingly. That's also why you've had the usual rent-a-clown shower contacting you via Ebay, hoping you'll part with it for a song!Originally Posted by abarry29

It goes with the territory Ebay is not the best place to sell as everyone is generally after a bargain.
To be fair, as mentioned on ebay I have also owned a Silver Carisma elegance, similar spec leather, air con etc. for some time too (bought from a close pal with 14k on the clock and now has only 38k, probably better condition than the Galant believe it or not). Bought it for my wife but unfortunately she wanted a small people carrier kinda thing. Enter Space Star Mitsubishi no. 3. Well actually no. 5 as we have just previously had a shogun warrior and another space star;
My pal bought the Carisma from Mitsubishi as a demonstrator. If the Galant is only going to fetch £2.5kish I will sell the '04 Carisma and keep the Galant. Therefore thinking of putting the Carisma up for £2300 for quick sale, which sells first goes - simple.
I don't really care which goes as they are both really nice drives, I just need to get back to one car as the wife also has her own car too. I have just shared annual mileage across both my cars for the last 3 years.

Andy
I would have thought that at £2500, you should not have too much trouble selling it. It looks in excellent condition.
I was considering a 2001 V6 Estate (under 60,000 miles) a few months ago. It sold for ~ £1900, IIRC.
I posted a link to your Ebay ad to my mate who's just parted with his Mitsubishi Animal after a 3 year lease. Sad to see it go he's now looking for something 'practical' for the family so I recommend he get himself a Galant as your car is the twin of mine whereas he's currently thinking of spending £9k on a Focus Titanium X. By the way where did you get it polished and how much did it cost as I'm not that far from Liverpool.

that's a beautiful well cared for example!
was going to sell my black 2.5v6 Elegance Auto until the boys on here advised me of it's low value. at the prices these Galants fetch today they're a LOT of car for the money and too good a bargain IMHO.
