What size are the clamps Mike?Originally Posted by miller
I need to change a couple, so going to do the lot.
And how many in total to replace all the clamps, inc those to the intercooler and again are they all the same size?

I'm not saying you don't have enough to do in organising this but how about providing the option of including silicone joiners and clamps i.e. a complete kit. I know you could get into the 'I want this colour instead' responses but it might save some the hassle of having to order the other bits and pieces required. E.g. silicone joiners in blue only and the requisite number of mikalor clamps.
Give me a panning if you wish..... just an idea.
A complete kit might persuade some of the less technically minded to get a set and have a go themselves at what is an easy job to do.
BTW I may be interested pending closing date.
Hi Mike, you van put me down for a set.
Cheers,
Keith
For people interested. My estimate of silicone hoses and clamps is about 50 quid + postage
That is buying the ready cut pieces of silicone.
You will need
2 x 2" silicone coupler,
4 x 2.5" coupler,
4 x 2" mikalor clamps,
8 x 2.5" mikalor clamps
'97 EVO 4 GSR
I have sourced mine at the best prices possible. When they arrive i plan on showing you links and referencing all parts you need to fit these!
Using Mikalor clamps and assorted hoses my final costs on these came to £35 IIRC.
Matt (orionn2o) is bang on with the sizes and quantities.
To supply a kit with silicone and clamps would hint at me selling a package on for a profit. Im not doing this for a profit. Otherwise like posted elsewhere these would retail at £200.

£35.00 is a good price Mike if they are decent 4 ply hoses.Originally Posted by miller

Mike defintiely let me know where you get the hoses from , so I can order likewise.
I would like to think once I have fitted mine and onto production status I will call for the money on the 1st March. Delivery a couple of weeks after that.

Just out of interest. Do ya reckon you'd get em any cheaper if you could say secure 15 orders? or 20? or whatever?
I have asked but that is the bottom price working on a minium of 5 orders. I personally think orders in multiples of 5 will move quicker as group buys than that of a single group buy to order for 20.Originally Posted by orionn2o

Thats a good point, and I'd be much more inclined to join in the next group buy. 5 sales are easier to generate than 20.Originally Posted by miller
