Thats pretty cool, for a bit less than that you can get a 2.5L V6 with two turbos and an entire car attached, and you still get 200cc more capacity!
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason
That's an awful advert.
If your selling an engine with uprated gubbins surely some engine dyno graphs are a must. No guarantee mentioned either, you'd have to be extremely rich or extremely stupid to throw £4k at what is essentially an unproven lump of metal.
The best things in life have to be lubricated
Unless it's known in the community.
And brad...it's lighter then a 2.5L twin turbo, and is liable to make a lot more power. It's not got such a nice noise, or power delivery, but it's cheaper to upgrade, cheaper to run, and will support a GT35R (or bigger) beautifully.
Why would you want an unknown V6 with unknown limits over a known, forged engine.
I'd argue that the engine above is largely unknown too, and that quite a few 6A13's are running 400-450hp on stock parts no problems. An a GT35R will sit ona 6A13 perfectly too

i dont no what bhp the evo engine is putting out i would like to think somewhere about 650hp for that money would be nice if it fitted into a vr4
brad, sorry mate but that's just nonsense: if you're after a proven, reliable solution then it's the 4G63 all the way. And try getting 550bhp out of a 6A13TT for the sort of money you can on a 4G63.
I understand what you're say re: value for money, but in simple terms if you're the kind of person spending £4000 on an engine then you're after a simple, easy, and above all proven formula.
Look at it this way : how many race series are based on the 6A13TT?
two completely different engines for two completely different ways of driving.
6a13 wouldnt have a chance on a back road ,but still a great engine for a standard one
good offer, if there tomei internals, and perfect condition, but if no.... think better build new from 4g64 from galant
stock evo 9 engine up to 400bhp no prob
6a13tt in our club in stock, now 450bhp (2xtd04-13).
but if go to up 500+, build evo engine will cheaper then 6a13tt
was LHD Legnum VR-4 Type S, 0,85 kg/m now , 4WD, AYC, [winter drift car team]
was RHD Galant VR-4 MT, no AYC no cry
was RHD Galant VR-4 GTR N1, ring racer, 407 hp
JDM EVO 7 GSR
Radical SR3 RS
What on earth are you talking about? If anything the 6A13TT is MORE suited to windy back-roads - it's not significantly heavier than the 4G63T, and it has significantly better low-end torque charecteristics!Originally Posted by lancerevo3
Stock against Stock, I'd suggest it's actually a BETTER B/C road engine.
With both engines given some basic mods, the 6A13 is going to be less laggy, MUCH more torquey throughout the range and only make slightly less peak power.
It's not until you start changing turbos that the 4G63T suddenly becomes a better proposition, and that's because manifolds and turbos (new) are cheaper and easier to fit.
You will need to go internal sooner on the 4G63T, though, but it's a proven route....unlike the 6A13TT where you're going to be sucking up a lot of development costs past 450bhp.
