    I had the Legnum weighed

I had BDA old legnum weighed the other day and I am surprised with the result. In the resource section the weight stated is 1520kg, I take it that is for a face lift Legnum?
    Mine came out as 1640kg.

Now that's with 3/4 tank of fuel
    No spare wheel
    No tools or jack
No stereo (I know not much there)
Full stainless exhaust which is much lighter
    Carbon bonnet.

Is the 1520kg just kerb weight? With me in the car it was another 140kg (I know FB)
So upon looking at the weight that difference is probably down to the fuel?ve

Just thought I would post this to gauge opinion really

Fuel would be about 1kg per litre.

Would it be safe to assume that this would be an accurate-ish kerb weight for a standard car with no fuel then?

I'd imagine the stuff removed and lighter parts would equate to a similiar weight as the fuel.
The best things in life have to be lubricated

I weighed a prefacelift auto with leather at 1660kg without me but with a good amount of fuel, spare wheel and a handfull of tools in the boot.

The weight stated must be a dry weight, IMO.

In an auto, you have getting on for 20 litres of oils and about 7 litres coolant. Another 5 litres washer fluid, then 45 litres fuel for your 3/4 tank.

So nearly 70 kgs just in that lot.

The official weight is 1530kg for a manual VR-4 and auto VR-4's are 1570kg. My VR-4 is pretty light, as per this thread:

    http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthr...corner+weights

Without the fuel mine would be 1495kg or so!
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason
