Spacers should be fine as well as they are bolted in strongly and won't cause extra flex
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason

well heres the status as of 4pm Friday 16 July...

im aiming for Tuesday afternoon completion and then just awaiting the Engine and box completion....

iv still got to lay the AMP wiring and run speaker wiring to and fro, install the new MAP80 Mogoose alarm that runs off the factory Key Buttons...
    Install suspension
Needs a CERT however but then she will be legal for everything!!
    Exciting Times...

this is really a fun job and a good project for Gen-8 to be doing,Brad you will need to get acustom Plate for this you know..

It's hard to tell in the photos, but it looks like you've cut the carpet a bit around the amp. Is the carpet completely removed under the amp? Or is just slits cut at each end for the cables?

good spotting lewis.. lol yea iv just slit the carpet to allow the amp to sit WAY close to the seat support rail and so the wiring can easy in there..

big arse amp,no room, had to slice back the air snorkel too

How did the amp get in the way of the air snorkel? lol

Cool, I've done something similar with mine, just a small slit in the carpet to allow a shorter earth lead.

Its not hard Scott.. You should try and fit a decent sized amp under the other seat... lol

I HAVE tried that.. I'm still undecided where to put my second amp as it is. The first amp under the passengers seat drives the front woofers and tweeters (4 channels), while the second amp will drive the sub.
