Be prepared to see hundreds of stolen supermarket trolleys!

Supermarket trolley 'comes with DVD player'

Tesco is planning to introduce trolleys to its supermarkets that come specially equipped with DVD and CD players for children.

The Daily Star claims the retailer came up with the idea after discovering that 75 per cent of parents find shopping with children stressful.

The store reckons the DVD could include educational features such as spelling and maths games.

Child psychologist Professor Kevin Browne believes the store's move is a great idea for keeping children busy.

He said: "It's vital for parents to get children involved - for example, helping to choose which butter the family should buy or reaching non-breakable foods off the shelves."

No doubt a great and innovative way to shut up the kids, but if pikeys are hell bent on nicking the plain metal ones just think what they will do for one of those kitted out with DVD players!

You're probably right mate, but if they have any sense then these will be seperate trolleys that need say a £50 deposit or a credit card number to ge given - then it will be a case of making sure another shopper doesn't nick it and take the kids too
