    Replacement rear badge?

Does anyone know where i can get hold of a replacement mitsubishi badge for the boot of my galant saloon? The one on my car is a bit faded and is more pink than red!

    Cheers
    Mike

Try the mean stealership, if you want a new one. Would have thought about £25. Or you can get the red enamel paint out and a steady hand!

Or, take it off (using a hairdryer) and re-spray it.

I did this to the front one. At first I tried to retain the 'chromed' edges but couldn't do it neat enough.

You can pop the little red diamonds off the chrome bit. See attached. You can simply respray the little diamonds and reuse the chrome frame. Just use a tiny spot of glue/sealant. I have a black version on my car

No, the VR4 badge does not come apart, but the red will come off it. I used a very sharp blade to scrape the red off. BUT be careful, I have a steady hand and am meticulous with that kinda thing. But the colour will come off, and then it can be primed/painted/sprayed as seen fit.

I used wet/dry to sand the red off, damaged the chrome and hence sprayed it all over !

When I get around to the rear one, I'll try the knife method because the chromed sides are more noticeable and compliment the Mitsy badge.
