... actually, I'm not sure, but I think it would boost far too high and run straight into fuel cut like there's no tomorrow!

Your right Nev. I fitted my one the wrong way round wnhen I first fitted mine. hit fuel cut all the time & know matter how I adjusted it I got fuel cut.
The mighty Leedsnum has gone but the Airtrek mods will soon fill this space
How To:Contact Committee or Moderators.
that explains i put mine in for a lil test and was getttin fuel cut @ about 4000rpm and the gear range was over in split seconds ripped it out imeditaly so not to course any damage to me turbos or engine or anything else i could ruinOriginally Posted by aboo
If you put it in wrong the turbos will not stop producing boost and the wastegates won't open - when I put mine on round the wrong way my boost gauge saw 20ish PSI in a matter of seconds before I went oh sh*t and let off the pedal.
Defo. Wong Way Wound.
so i could of ruined me turbo's ?
If you've got a boost gauge and are not an idiot I would imagine you'll be right
Karl - it's bloody unlikely you've ruined your turbos.
In fact, it's unlikely you've done any damage that will manifest itself in the next 100,000miles
The most likely side effect of overboost would be some detonation, which would have been interrupted by the ECU pooing it's pants and cutting the fuel. If you'd done it a lot I'd worry, but a couple of instances of fuel cut aren't something I'd panic about too much.
