    Remote central locking

When I got the Legnum the remote central locking was working. Eventually you sometimes had to press the button a few times to get it to work, I assumed it was running out of batteries. It stopped working a while back now and I have only just got round to replacing the battery but now it still doesn't work. Does it forget the code to unlock the car or something? Has anyone else had this and knows how to fix it?

    Cheers!

If this is the standard one-button central locking key, then I thought they just worked without the need for reprogramming?

Yes standard one button key as far as I can tell.

Managed to sort this tonight by playing around with the key while taken apart and pressing the chip half to the battery half pushing the button without the rubber over it.

Mine's the same. I keep taking the key apart and spraying WD40 into the switch beneath the button. Then it will work for a few weeks, until it gradually becomes less and less reliable again.

sometimes it can just be a dodgy battery connection and the conductive part of the little PCB that the battery presses against gets worn.
sometimes you can put a small piece of tin foil folded over a couple of time between the battery and PCB to maximise the contact area and this creates a good enough connection.

The button is crap. I do WD40 treatment often too... Half of my keys is not working...

    Been looking on those recently:

Any one has an idea if those will fit?
