On the interesting issue of timing laps...
Found some info that may have been posted somewhere on CVR4 but do not remember it...
Full lap is 20.832 kms - 12.9 mls
GTB is 1.1 mls
So timed lap is BTG 11.8 mls
10 min lap is approx 71 mph avge speed
9 min lap is 79 mph avge speed
8 min lap is 89 mph avge speed
7 min lap is 101 mph avge speed
And 6.11 lap is 125 mph avge speed
If these avge speeds are not correct then a maths person can sort accurate figures...
Thought you werent into timing Chris!
Still here somewhere........
No I just pick this stuff up and pass it on...
It is interesting seeing the avge speed for certain times...
Goddam weather, no point washing the car now! Is it tomorrow yet?

Lee, what's the weather forecast for the area for the w/e...?
Well we all arrived safely yesterday. Chris arrived a few hours before us, and then Lee arrived in the evening.
Had one lap before it closed, but got some break judder issues to overcome before I can pump up the pace. Weather wet and cold at the moment, so that won't be today.
As Pete says, we all arrived safely. Pete, Mike and I did our first laps in the Evos yesterday. Too early to get a real feel for the Evo over the VR-4 but I could tell straight away that it is a lot more agile.
It is very wet today so there will no doubt be the odd wet lap later and then it should be dry tomorrow ...
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition
Track closed but not surprising, very slippery and theres plenty of action on and off track!
I arrived mid-afternoon at Motorsport Hotel and then down to car park for about 4.45pm - virtually full - sorted tkts with 8 redline freebies put on a Ring Card
Track opened late and eventually got out to do a couple of laps on Friday evening
As I got round Pflanzgarten, first lap for all cars probably, there had been an accident with a large BMW saloon totalled it seemed
Some people just cannot get round without settling into the conditions and amount of traffic...
As I pulled into car park at Motorsport exhaust was noisy and checking revealed it was blowing near back box - tailpipe was touching bumper, a little melting evident but slight pushing lowered it.
Unfortunately Saturday morning 8.00am revealed a noisier exhaust and back box had seperated from the rest of system - at risk of falling off so went into Adenau and sorted temp repair/weld at a Nissan Garage
Felt I could not risk laps with a temp repair so sorted rest of tkts with Andy (The Vee)
Got to see the Wayne's TME and the Evo wagon - did a passenger lap with Andy and then came home Saturday - 8.00pm ferry
Next visit probably 21-26 April 2011 - Easter is late next year so weather should be better, maybe...
At least a little less chance of snow...
Sunday was a glorious day but unfortunatey meant every man and his dog was on the track. When I finally decided to get out on track they'd closed it and after 4 labs of the Motorsport and welcome centre I gave up.
We've spotted that the entire November is touristfahren season so more chances then....even better though we're likey to be Christmassing in Cochem, about 40kms from the track, and are looking to go over at the beginning
Was good to see everyone again and also nice to be the only one with a VR-4, it certainly got some attention when we were there. My highlight was on Sunday whilst waiting for the track to reopen. We went to the car-park opposite the entrance to the the track and found it was overflowing on to the grass, where a Porsche required a few people to push it back out of the mud/grass....I simply floored it and the AYC did the rest, their faces were a picture.

Sorry not to have had time to chat Lee, maybe next year...
And Redline freebies lokl ike they last until end of April 2011, so after Easter 2011, rather than end of March 20111
Wonder if I can find more supplies...?
Speak to Andy mate he had lots left so can sell them back to youOriginally Posted by chris g
Well it's a little speculative at the moment about a trip at Easter but thinking about possibilities...
And realistically, of all the cars that I have taken to the Ring, the frog-mobile was the least enthusiastic of them all...
Not enogh momentum through Begwerk and then particularly unwilling going up Kesselchen...
