108000 mile service

Its that cambelt change...

Called up my local dealer for a service and they wanted 460 squids! Most of the
cost is labour.

Has anyone tried changing the cambelt? I may try doing it myself if it isn't too fiddly..

What flavour of Galant have you got?

To be honest, £460 for the 108,000 mile service is cheap - Especially if you have the V6-24.

Its a 98 GLS 2.0.

Feel that the service is too expensive for its age. But! found a place that can do the service for half the cost

buy the cam belt yourself then take it to an independant garage(usually 3-4 hours labour) but u may need to replace tensioners waterpumps etc
