Hi all...

Sad day but the time has come to sell my leggy due the imminent arrival of my baby boy due on the 19th May.... Need something a bit more sensible and economical and these short trips to and from work don't make sense anymore....

She's Pearl White and in generally good condition with only minor issues;
1) Tow eye cover missing (but who's isn't)
2) Front wheel arch liners need replacing (again, who's don't)
3) Wing mirror motors work but the bosses inside the mirrors are goosed so you need to open and close manually.
4) One or two small paint work issues (bit of t-cut should sort)
5) Small scratch to driver seat

3 Months Tax, 9 Months MOT.

Everything else works a treat and in the nearly three years I've had her never given me any problems at all.

Double DIN Kenwood stereo but other than that totally standard.

Regularly serviced every 2500 miles, recently serviced, new rear pads fitted, cat 1 alarm etc etc.

MPH Conversion done at 123000 km, now reads 134444 so basically 87900 miles.

All paper work available, spare keys and alarm fob and all sevice paperwork/bills.

As I say, genuine reason for sale so give me a reasonable offer (Circa £2000).

Forgot to mention the interior is full black leather with only the small scratch on the drivers seat being the problem.

Car Of The Year

Japanes award certain models in each year a COTY badge, highly prized by each manufacturer.

Usually COTY's have very nice black leather interior and come in White only

First Special Edition – COTY model – beginning to middle of 1997
The entire 8th Generation Galant and Legnum range won the Japanese Car Of The Year award for 1996-1997. Mitsubishi created a special edition to celebrate this victory. The COTY VR-4 model was only available in Legnum form, and with only one specification. There was also a 1.8 GDI Galant COTY model released. All were VR-4 Type S’s with the intent of showing off all of the technology available in the range, coming standard with AYC, ASC and TCL. The only interior option was black leather with matching door trims. They were the only VR-4’s ever to come with black leather interior, other models were only available with tan leather. The steering wheel was the standard wood and leather combination that came on the tan leather cars. The exterior colour scheme was limited to Pearl White, paint code W75. Few prefacelift VR-4’s were optioned with this colour code, most came with solid white, this same Pearl colour became the standard white on facelift VR-4’s. The other exterior features unique to the COTY models were two badges on the D pillars with COTY writing on them, and the stock 5 spoke wheels came in a polished finish with dark edging. None were available with the moonroof optional on other VR-4’s, or the MMCS system. These were still tuned to 191kw, 343nm. Original price was 3,214,000 Yen

and thanks bradc for the detailed reply, i did see one on the autotrader the other day with tan leather and didn't really like it and wondered why it wasn't black with it being a black car

It's a bargain at £1800 and it will be going on PH and Ebay for more so if you want it at the bargain price let me know ASAP.

Already got it's replacement found and don't want to lose it so could do with moving her on ASAP.

sorry but you are crazy if you sell the car for that price its to cheap ye i know its not a car of the year but its still worth between £3000.00 to £3500.00 it is a coty and you dont see many of them about i paid £3500.00 for mine and i thought that was a bargain

If you just lived in anoother country i would take it immediately, but unfortunetly i live in Estonia. Im still looking Legnums from all over europa, but im not quite ready to buy one at the moment, i will buy one in spring, because i need to study more how to buy from another country, it is quite risky i have heared. Im have 2,4 Mitsubishi Galant 2001 year at the moment ( http:/i.ee/photos/br8bad/14975082/ ) but they say Legnum is another level
