Scottish meet Braemar June 19th. 1pm

Right guys as the title say's looking at having a Scottish meet next month.

I know its short notice but I'm hoping to make Japshow in July.

I was thinking about the Perth area cause I was thinking this was about half way for most members.

Not the usual Crail meet for a change.

We could have a spirited drive through the country roads then stop for a bite to eat.

Something like the Moffat meet. For most of the Scottish members that have'nt been able to make the Moffat meet it has worked out really well the last 2 years.

Anyone intrested put your name forward & I want to see the new beemer of Fluffniks.

    19th is good for me.

Braemar is a decent drive from both South and East...

ETA: I'm planning to be in France from the 26th for a couple of weeks.
Believed to be the only Palma Red / Thurston Grey tiptronic Legnum VR-4 driven by me.

...before it went to deepest Englandshire.

Braemar is about the only place that makes sense as a drive from both Aberdeen and the South due to them pesky Cairngorms...

Motorway ferry driving doesn't count towards run mileage anyway.

Going for a drive is the fun part. Take it from me Scanny when your in a convoy of VR4's or non VR4's you'll love it. Its a buzz & we'll have a Beemer to show its arse to

i can see where you are coming from. i hope i am not the only non turboed member attending then. i dont fancy being the only one who cant keep up with the pack. the V6 is quick but not VR4 quick

I guess a lunch somewhere not too far North of Kincardine Bridge would suit, with the option for a bit of a drive to follow for those who fancied it...

    Any good grub suggestions?

    I have no turbo.

If we stick to wiggly and scenic roads power won't be an issue...

Yep Steve managed to keep up just last year on the way down to Moffat. He was in a V6.

He was on point setting a good pace on much of the run from Innerleithen back to Edinburgh, the V6 is no slouch cross country.

better hope the rain holds off that day then. Bill did warn me that the tyres are pretty poor in the wet and he was right. they have a nice looking tread pattern but they suck on wet roads and i cant afford a pair of falkens just now.
this meet could be the ideal opportunity to save me a trip to aberdeen to pick up a strut brace. i can wait a few weeks if someone would be kind enough to collect it from Peter for me

gold star for anyone who spots the subtle hint there

If its Peter thompson your getting it from I pass him every morning on my way to work. So it no prob to get it from him & drop it to you.

We could even fit it at the meet cause it doesnt take long.

even better since i can only guess how it fits and im not keen on relying on that as its suspension related.
if you wouldnt mind i would appreciate it. the price was too good to pass up on

    gold star on its way

No probs. I'll text Peter next week & arrange pick up. Fitting is a doddle 20 minutes max.
