    Stiff 1st gear

    yesturday and today it was a bit "notchy"when going for 1st gear only ,i did read on here about a fix on the gearbox side but i cant find it !!

    Someone posted about adjusting the clutch piston/clutch pedal joint to change the biting point.

    Other potential issue would be at the gearbox end of the linkage cables - the rubbers on the brackets come loose and allow the brackets to move too far. A bolt or two solves that one.

    One other thing but that really changes the whole gear lever feel - adjust the number of shims in the assembly holding the lever, look under the trim round the lever to find the bolt holding them.

    I think the one i read (was a while ago) was on the gearbox end and the fix was as you say with the brackets but i can't seem to find it under the search button !!
