FS: Brand new Tabletop Dishwasher for cheap or swapsies

    Hi all,

I have for sale one brand new tabletop mini dishwasher, this was an unwanted xmas present that we're just never going to use.

    Zanussi ZSF2430
    • Colour: White
    • Number of IEC place settings: 6
    • Energy class: A
    • Cleaning performance: A
    • Drying performance: B
    • Compact model
    • Residual heat drying
    • Delay Start
    • Push Button Functions: Delay start, Start/reset
    • Electronic controls
    • Rinse & hold option
    • Programmes: Eco 55, Normal 65ºC, Quick 50ºC, Rinse & Hold, Superwash 70
    • Dimensions (mm):
    • Height: 447
    • Width: 545
    • Depth: 480

It's never been used (although the box has been opened once to check all the accessories were present) but it's just taking up space now so we need it gone ASAP.

Naturally it'll be brilliant at cleaning dishes, but it would also be great at cleaning car parts so your "widow" doesn't cut your b***sac off for you cleaning oily engine bits with her fine china!

This needs simply to go, location B31 (South Birmingham), they cost £290 new but like I said, we just want shut of it (can't put up the dining table until it's gone) so any offer will be taken into consideration.

Fox - does it need plumbing in or does it have a tap adaptor?

It requires plumbing in, same fitments as a washing machine, but it can be used with a sink adapter like this that you should be able to pick up from most DIY places like B&Q and Homebase.

Alternatively, you can try modifying the existing hoses by yourself using something similar to this from Wilkinsons

The inlet (cold water feed) hose looks like this:

The outlet (waste) hose looks like this:

To use temporarily, use the adapters above and put the gray outlet hose in your sink or someplace else to drain into.

To plumb in permanently, you'll need one of these for the cold water feed, and something along the lines of one of these (or just use your washing machines one) for the drainage.

If a deal is done here, I can offer CVR4 Postal Service duties, seeing as both I and Jase will be at the Rolling Road day, so if he brings it to Eurospec, I can transport it back.

Those tap-connectors are the purest fail known to mankind. Avoid.

It'll be single hose, K - I'm not aware of any dishwashers that use the domestic hot water supply.

For the amount of effort required to plumb it in (around an hour messing about with a pipe cutter) you might as well do it properly.

Admittedly, it's still single-hose, but ours uses hot or cold. Using the domestic hot water supply has the added benefit of using the combi boiler to do most of the water heating, rather than the electric element in the dishwasher.

Something you definitely wouldn't want to leave running.

To save some pipe cutting, this is a viable option: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/13768/...tting-Tap-15mm

God, yes! I've even used one of those before, and completely forgotten about it!

Really!? Well, you live and learn
I suppose there is no reason for any washdisher not to use hot water at the inlet, though 70degree fill must age plastics quicker. Not likely to have an impact.

If it's a single hose feeding from the hot-water, how does it do the cold rinse?

What do you need that for?!

Don't think it has the setting for it.

They normally take on cold, prewash, drain, take on more cold, heat, wash (+soap) drain, and then rinse cold and drain. Cold water neutralises the soap better than hot.

It certainly uses less energy than heating all the water, however that's somewhat offset by the cost of heating electrically. You end up using the heating element for the dry-cycle anyway, though.

    Dunno, really?

It will be cold feed only if it only has one inlet pipe.
