i will see what the price will be to send them to nz it may be better to do a group buy so they all go to one address and i may take the hit for the postage
but then it will come down to numbers
i am not going to sell any at the min till i am happy the stickers will not move but i will be making some at the end of the week
these covers are sick i defiently want one mate.Originally Posted by peter m
Looking at the design of the origional and this carbon cover, would it be possible to extend it backwards to cover the plenum chamber, or would this generate too much heat covering these?
This is more out of interest than anything
why fix it the right way first time - when excessive swearing can occour when it all goes wrong when you don't?
Now with 5.7 liters of V8 muscle
good questionOriginally Posted by gareth001
I was just thinking about the extended cover, signed in, and guess what, some one beat me to it lol. could have some vents at the back of the extended cover, would have to look at fixings at the back
pete would have to make a new mould for that and i dont think he will do thatOriginally Posted by gareth001
ken is right it will mean starting all over again and i have not sold one of this type yet and will i get the numbers i need to make it work thats what i have to look at
the heat with the carbon is not a problem as carbon will stay cooler than the ss covers kicking about
Hey Pete, love your cover, but realised that it isn't vented anymore... won' heat built up underneath? There are quite a few cables and plastic bits n pieces underneath!
If you can rule this out, I'll be the guinea pig for Australia!
i am running my car at the min with the first fully finished cover on and ken has been running his with the very first cover i did for two months and had no problemsOriginally Posted by TomTom
the thing i am looking at and testing is the stickers
at the end of the day the covers only make the engine bay look nice thats all
the ss covers people have will get a lot hotter than the carbon covers
A stainless steel cover will dissipate heat from the engine better than a carbon one, which might tend to insulate it; but I'm not worried about this at all- at any speed the whole engine bay will have a huge airflow through it. I think the "vents" in the factory cover are a joke, all they really do is help it fall apart faster.

From an early doubter, they look fvcking fantastic. Much better than those crappy plain steel ones. Well done.
