Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 type S 280HP AT
Not certain what you mean by half and full changes
I assume you are thinking of AYC fluid change at 4500 miles
And full oil/AYC changes at 9000
These may be considered excessive if you are using AMSOIL lubricants but some owners still stick to changes around thes mileages particularly for AYC
Apart from lubricants you will need an oil filter as well, preferably an AMSOIL filter...
The rerst of the procedure is probably in the members section so get joining and it will be best money you will spend as a VR-4 owner
A techie person may be along shortly to give you fuller/better advice
I assume a half change is relating to dropping the gearbox oil from the sump and then re-filling.
A full change would be called a flush.
There is an article in the members area that takes you through the procedure. Basically, drain the sump and re-fill. Then undo one of the cooler pipes (by the headlight is easiest) and start the engine. Oil will pump out relatively quickly, so you need to be catching it and refilling the box through the dipstick hole. When the fluid coming out is a nice colour, you can assume the flush to be complete.
Hope that helps.
i mean about gearbox oil.
ok thank you very much for information.
i gonna put Mitsubishi DIAQUEEN SPIII is it k for it?
Yes. That's fine.
hi
I'm about to change the transmission oil (galant vr4 1997 manual). I've bought 3 liters of GL5 oil, 75w90, but I've just read on internet, that neither GL5 nor GL4/GL5 is recommended, only GL4.
GL5 causes synchron problems. The refuse oil containes 2-4 times more copper.
Can I use the GL5 oil without problem, or should I buy something else (GL4)?
Thank you
No GL-5 or GL-4/5.
You must use GL-4 spec ONLY.

Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
thanks
The GL5 has EP (extreme Pressure) additives which will effectively prevent easy locking of the syncro rings to the hubs in the gearbox, this will result in slow difficult noisy and eventually damaging gear changes. The other thing to check for is for is that the oil does not corrode yellow metal , as in bushes and syncro hubs, many do, you want yellow metal corrosion 1A or 1B. Oh and do yourself a favour and get a full synthetic.
