Cool, something interesting.
Good luck Scoot , looking forward to the results
and please don't run it at 1.3 bar like another member on here was
And and...
I'm curious
I'm from The Netherlands,
Sorry for my language
6a13TT in a 2.0 glxi
It did'nt go well but I'm sure Scott will be along soon.
The mighty Leedsnum has gone but the Airtrek mods will soon fill this space
How To:Contact Committee or Moderators.
yep as you can see from the arf over boost graph i have a fuel problem
the 2 pots are the same but 1 is in 3rd and another in 4th gear as you can see only change is it moves up the rev range
no i have knowen about my top end problem for a wile now so havent been booting the car + 2 babys in the car as well been low boost every were
but i though it was down to my grade of plugs and my ebay fuel pump which have now all been changed along with a broken coil pack and a service
ok ive been told it aint an ignition problem or it would be running rich
also been told due to the fact that i have a 2 day old walbro 255lt fuel pump its unlikey to be that
so been told first thing i should be looking at is the maf basicaly swap it out for a knowen good one see if mines id knackered
after that im looking at injectors being the problem
any help would be great at this point
Is the number the calulated engine power or the at the wheels power? If it's 207 at the wheels then the car is looking good from that. It would be good to see a plot of the AFR's though.
Sorry - just worked out the afr plot!
It does look a bit lean at the high end doesn't it? What is the rev range where it goes from 11 to 12? Is there any knock occurring?
wasnst to fussed about the power to be honest dont know were the power was from was to worried about what was wrong with the fueling
and that is an afr plot
dependant on what gear it was in 3rd or 4th it was about 5200 and 7000
and the car just went wrong at that point pulling timing running ruff lossing power
Thats a fuel delivery issue of some sort.
So either, injectors are reaching 100% and hence the car is leaning out, or fuel pump, filter or reg.
Also check your battery voltage- if the alternator is on the fritz you wont be getting enough voltage to correctly fire the injectors, or to power the fuel pump.
Normally when you get an issue like that, where the car leans out at a certain rpm, then its normally pump/filter and failing that then its an injector issue- in a stock car normally a latency issue brought about by low system voltage.
Cheers,
Ben.
when did you last change the fuel filter Scott ?
I have a spare set of injectors that you can borrow so you can then send off yours top be cleaned / flow checked etc
cheers ben will get the multi meter out check the battery
like i told dunc at hypertech fuel filter is brand new walbro 255lt fitted on monday the fuel filter was dun about 6 months ago plugs last week along with the oil and the rad and coolant and flashed ecu
but i had the same problem before all this stuff was dun
but i have also notice i stopped getting fuel cut and this started
would a loose belt maybe have the same effect on the altinator
Fuel cut is higher with the reflashed ecu , but it is still there .
Hmmm what voltage is the pump running at , it should run at 8v then switch to 13.7v when under load
aint been out to look at the car yet n baby dutie
but like i said had al this before all the new bits including loss of fuel cut
Blocked fuel tank breather perhaps?
Didn't don have an issue with his pump not switching to high voltage? What were his symptoms? Is the relay that switches the voltage the one on the bulkhead near the throttle body?
Yes it was the little Doobyfirk on the Bulkhead with Dons. We hardwired the pump and it solved the issue. But it also rectified the Doobyfirk aswell. As we took the hardwire off the pump and all was working properly with the Doobyfirk switching to higher voltage as it should.. (Seemed to give it a kickstart)Originally Posted by Nick Mann
Easiest and cheapest would be to run some wire straight from Bat to pump and see if the issue is still there ..
Wodj
any pics if the relay location so i know what one to check
