Question:
The airintake gasket of my vr4 engine is lost
Are the airintakegaskets of the N/A 6a13 the same?
Kind regards Mark

I'm from The Netherlands,
Sorry for my language
6a13TT in a 2.0 glxi
You mean the rubber gasket in the inlet elbow ?
No sorry, i mean the one that needs to be placed on this part with the 6 big holes in it.
(i thought it was a metal one)
Aha .. The Inlet Manifold Gasket
Not sure about that sorry
According to ASA, it is the same part on the 25ST and ST-R that both use the N/A 6A13 engine as it is on the 6A13TT VR-4 engine.
EDIT: Part number MD347006
October 2023 fleet status: 100% operational
| Legnum VR-4S | Fiat Panda 100HP !! | a blue one! | Avensis T-180 | VR-4 parts van! |
Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
Ok so asa says its the same?
Because then i'll try to go to the mitsubishi-dealer with the inlet manifold and see if it fits. (they need to order it because they dont have them on stock)
It seems so. I can't cross-reference against UK/Euro 6A13 Galants as I only have the JDM ASA installed. Can't see it would be any different though.
That part number is applicable to all EA5W, EC5W and EC5A models, ASA says, which include both N/A and turbo 6A13 engines.
Ok, then it will proberly be the same
Thank you for your help,
Going to contact the mitsu dealer
They are not exactly the same. The 6A13 n/a may be used in 6A13TT engines, but not vice versa!
Gaskets from 6A13 n/a have additional hole for oil (?), water (?) line where our VR4 don't have that line.
To save costs Mitsubishi discontinued in 1999 supply of specific 6A13TT gaskets and provides only 6A13 n/a gaskets.
Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar
Good info there! The part number I quoted was indeed the replacement part, and not the earlier VR-4-only part. As it is going on a VR-4 here, I believe it's not an issue. But as said, great info.
Swinks thanks for the added information, very usefull.
Now i'm sure that i can order the N/A gasket
