    Speedo not working

A couple of months ago i was doing stop/starts checking what the boost was before installing my mbc, everything was fine and the speedo was working ok. The next day just on my way to work i noticed that the speedo wasnt working.
After searching on here i found that a few people had problems with the speedo converter box,i tracked that down behing the clocks, completly removed it and resoldered the wires, still doesnt work. I then resoldered the converter box back in. ive checked the plugs that go on the sensors, they seem ok.
(The odometer at the bottom of the clock still lights up with the miles that the speedo packed up on.)

Does this sound like the speed sensor has packed up??
Is the speedo sensor located around the back of the box??

Are there any fuses for the clocks

    Cheers
    Frank

    Is the odometer counting up?

I guess it isn't, because it would mean a problem with the speedo itself, which is unlikely!

Best guess would be to check the plug at the gearbox end. You'll need to remove some of the intake pipework, but you should be able to see it next to the white selector on top of the gearbox. (EDIT: Sorry, these are for the input/output - speed sensor is at the back of the box, above the transfer case)

Speedo sensor is at the back of the box above the transfer box , not the front. The output and input sensors are near the front

cheers for the replys, i thought the speedo sensor was at the back near the transfer case, ive already taken the plug on/ off just in case it was a loose connection, i suppose its a knackerd sensor.
I might get the car on the ramps & have a closer look at the plug and wireing.
Is there any way of testing the sensor??
