I am needing a off side for pre-facelift, are they the same? My local garage says a special tool is required to fit them and they do not want to do it, am I going to end up with parts that no one wants to fit?

    Yes they are the same

Seem like they have a Special Tool at that garage already.. The Tool is the person that told you need a special tool

Nothing special needed, just some patience and maybe some BF&I

    Cheers

I think I am going to get the full assembly from the states on e-bay, 75 dollars for the pair.

it is usually $50-$60 for shipping and then there is 10% import duty and 17.5% VAT on top of that to pay. and sometimes if it is shipped with parcel force then they can charge you extra delivery change if the package gets delayed in customs.

or you might get lucky and it might fly through customs with no changes. but heavier packages usually get stopped and charged.

this is just a warning that US prices are not as cheap aas you might first think.

    Bye for Now!

Which will still work out less than £50 each

    Not really Glenn.
Mine cost me 115 GBP for pair including all taxes and duty mentioned by Dave. Nowadays almost all parcels from US coming thru customs.

my whole point was £100-£120 is not the same as quoting $75 for a pair.
