I have standard brake callipers, they are 8mm nut size but what is the thread size ??
just call a mitsi dealer and buy from them get them to post to you it will probably be cheaper. and you will know you will get the correct ones.
or do a but of searching for mitsi bleed nipples on the web.
you could remove a bleed nipple from you caliper and get a thread gauge tool and measure the theard you have then you know for sure what thread you need.
or just buy some from ebay and hope you get the correct ones and if you do you can post up the details so everybody can benefit form your experience.
Here are the measurements for the standard PFL brake calipers front and rear - brake nipples:
- nut size 8mm
- thread pitch 1,0 mm
Measured it with a digital precision caliper as well as with the template shown in the picture.
(because of projecton errors in the picture it seems more, but it is 1,0 mm definitely).

Forgot: length total 31 mm.
Same dimensions as Galant V6.

Got them from a store in automotive parts.
Slightly different, but it suits.
It should be approximately:
- 8mm nut size
- 1mm thread pitch exactly
- 31mm length or longer
- 7mm thread diameter
- 5,2mm root diameter
Costs: 1,55 euro for 1 piece.

Hi got my bleed nipples from here http://www.viamoto.co.uk/proddetail....i+EVO+5+6+CP9A
It turns out that the guy there called Mike was the manager at Camskill for 17 years and has just started to do galant/legnum parts.
Very helpful and told me nipples the same as a fto and on stock posted out first class.
So i recommend that if you read this you click on the link and have a look and save the site as a bookmark for if or when you need it .
Good job
Hi All,
Put my new nipple on car and was ok, problem now is the front braided pipes i put on don't want to seal completely and leak when pressing pedal hard, looks like it is just the one side that leaks, it is done up as tight as possible so my question is.....................
1/ Just swap back to the originals and see if it make a difference and they reseal and don't leak.
2/ Get a new pipe made for the front left and maybe the right.
3/ Is there anything that i can use to help it seal.
btw it looks like it leaks from around the pipe not the threads of the nut.
MIA John.
2/
Take a photo and point out where you think it is leaking from.
If you have a copper washer both sides of the ring on the end of the hose then the banjo bolt should seal on them. If you over tighten the bolt then you risk shearing it.
