Heh, thought it might be. Just wanted to clarify.Originally Posted by Wodjno
Unless you put some ridiculously large but thin wheels on thereOriginally Posted by Wodjno
of course i do
once my evo wheels have been refurbed ill get em back on, then ill something to work from on the whole offset thing
yeah sorry, the top bit of the hub carrier, my mistake
best bet would be to go try some 20's on. once you hav the diameter, you can work out the rear gap, this will allow you to determine what offset you will need on the 11's.
from a guy who runs 17x9+30 daily and is lookin at 19x9.5+35's...your mad!
ok then this guy said this
i had a galant before i was running 19x 8 +37 on them sits flush on the front with some camber and some spacers on the rear 19x9 +37. and this was raise up cause it was a daily
and here is car

so i replied with this!
do you know how big the rear spacers were bud?
the wheels look like a good fitment, and the sort of fit im after, would very much so help me identify the offset im looking for!
not suire if im getting this the right way round or not but here goes. so you was running +37 rear and for arguments sake a 10mm spacer, which gave you a +27??
so by adding 2" to the wheel width and trying to get them to sit where yours do, ill want roughly et0??
but then i want to add some crazy camber, so maybe ET-10-20mm ?? is this even close to being right!! lol
am i right or??
i think you might hav stuffed up.
so for arugment sake, if you bought a 19x11+37, that would poke out an inch more in each side, but!
at that width they will touch the inner suspension, so you need a lower offset. like +19minimum i think i said,
so, in comparison,
a 19x11+19 will sit 43mm further out (on the rear) then that pic. which is doable but you will need to pull your guards out about 25mm
there is no way a 19x11 will be able to sit as far in as those 19x9's as the room availble just isnt there. the 19x9+37 are about 15mm off the suspension arms.
front would be flush, my 17x9+30 poke the rim, but i hav a 225tyre on so the tyre pulls in a bit.
you'll also find that those cars are usdm spec with jdm front ends fitted,
the usdm dont run the same suspension our jdms,
usdm run McPherson strut, and jdm run double wish bone,
this is another whole can of worms,
as when you lower a mcpherson stuct the whole suspension setup moves,
when you lower a double wish bone, the arm/hub assembly moves, but the shock remains more or less in the smae position,
also our DWB is not easily camber adjusable at all,
you can get kits (cost a fair bit) but they dont allow for more than 0.5 neg camber adjustment which you will be needing to get the tuck in on thw wheel.
oh yeah, it is a USDM spec galant...got spot carsten.
whole different ballgame
what about the one in the first post, the car is from indonesia? what that be jdm or usdm??
cant tell from the small pics,
cant see enough detail.
quick way off spotting it..
usdms dont normally have fender indicators,
and if they do, there add ons and usually not recessed like ours,
can also tell by side skit fitments and front end fitments,
as there not perfectly fitting
11" wide with a +19 offset on the back with minimum brake clearence would make for some epic V.I.P style dish.
That Galant looks pretty mad. But if you want a JDM VR-4 that doesn't run a staggered fitment 9.5" wide seems to be good, no more.
