11's on the rear and 9's on the front by 20" btw!!

If you can keep the rolling radius within 1 or 2 percent, then different widths shouldn't hurt the diffs. I'm not sure how much it would hurt the handling though!

Running 20's will hurt handling quite a bit

there are now about 5 people running 9.5" wide wheels, myself included
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason

    we australian's love good fitment

theres a big write up on ozvr4. you could fit 10's on the back easily

ideally id love to run 19x9 and 19x10 stagger, just cant afford the wheels lol

meh i choose style over handling will only be for summer, show season, then back on normal wheels for winter.

i know the pics are poor quality, what do u think has been done to the arches? has it got the oem plastic arch lips?

ill get myself over to ozvr4 tonight, as its all about offset

It looks like it is running a heap of camber which will help tuck them under the guards.

thats what i thought, well i now have 3 companies trying to figure out the right tyres, not the easiest to figure out as its not just the tyre size you have to contemplate, because when you start stretching them, the side walls become thinner!! lol

my job is to find a set of wheels! i do like them ones but i always think there could be something better, and i only want to buy one set!!

im thinking gold spokes with a polished lip on my COTY?

235's will fit fine with plenty of room on 30-38mm offset wheels.

I'm not sure if 20x11 30-38mm wheels would clear the rear suspension arm though.

im running 235/45/18's on my cars with 8.5 offsets and Katys Galant is running 9.0 with the same profile, and it is awsum... looks the part, fills the guards and handles well...

may i hijack thread and ask what the max offset on front and rear may be?? i want to go 9.0 on front with 10 or 11 on rear of legnum once iv wide guarded the panels..

Q, you're talking about wheel width, not offset.

if you want to fit a 18x11 on the rear of a vr4, your goin to need an offset of +19 or lower! ie +15, 0, -20....what ever.

+19 will ensure about 2mm gap between the suspension banana arm and the rear face of the rim.

on the fronts, you would probably want to run a 18x9.5. you could probably run a 18x10 but steering may become heavy and cumbersome.

    ok tyres:

all differnt brands of tyre stretch differently, so i think you will hav to just mix and match front and rears to get close

ideal tyres sizes for F:18x9.5 and R:18x11

    F: 235/40/18
    R:275/35/18

this will give you a 1.6mm (roughly) difference in tyre height

    hope this helps :/

edit: my mistake, i worked all that out for 18s....20x11+19 may hit the banana arm....you might need to go even lower

is the banana arm at the top or bottom?

because iv also got to allow for negative camber! lol

so im probably looking for a 0 offset, i dont mind using up to a 10mm spacer. obviously ill be using the camber to get the top of the wheel to sit where i want it.

i do think all this research will be worth it!

I thought the banana arm was the top half of the hub carrier?
